Default New terrarium

Hello, this is the first post that I put in this forum.
My experience with orchids is not very long! I have two hybrids of phalaenopsis and now I want to try to culture some orchids inside of my geosesarma's terrarium but I have several quentions.

My biggest problem is that, in summer, the temperature of the terrariun could go up to 95°. Anyway, I have one fan inside and I could put another one outside to move new air inside. The another problem is that the humidity is between 80-95%.

I think that Haraella retrocalla will grow in this conditions, but there are more orchids that will grow Ok there??

Do you think that the hygrolon will be a good substrate to grow this orchids?

Thank you very much!!

I don't grow in terrariums, so am unable to help you with that - I'm sure other members will be able to!

There are quite a few orchids that will like the hot temps and humidity... you will probably have to source those out. I find Bulbophyllum do well with heat and humidity. If you can find a way to cool the temps down, you can grow more types.

Mine went to 97 this summer

Surprisingly Oberonias grow really well for me in this heat..

also. didn't grow but didn't die,, it handled this temp as Lepanthes telepogoniflora

A lot of bulbos. My Pleurothallis microphylla spiked at these temps,, also Pleurothallis dresser, and Porpax species. Schoenorchis flagons, and tixieri,

the only Phal I grow is Phal. gibbosa,

oh oh , umm dendros do well too in this heat peguanom .

and Bulb. lemniscastoides. just watch this one, its really tricky.
