List of Terrarium-Tried Orchids Male
Default List of Terrarium-Tried Orchids

Okay, it has taken all weekend, but I have compiled a list of the orchids that have been reported to have been grown in terrariums. I did not list those that were proposed as good possibilities, only those that someone said they had tried. I hope I have not left out anyone suggestions.
I looked up the basic culture and included Size, Temp range and Light Exposure, as they were listed in Jay's Internet Orchid Species Photo Encyclopedia. I do not lay any claims to having tried any of these orchids in terrarium settings myself - but I am getting ready to try some!
Hope this helps.......

List of Terrarium-Tried Orchids Male
Default

BTW (now that my hand has quit cramping!), I wanted to say how impressed I was when I got to looking at all the great options that everyone provided on the original sticky about making a list of orchids for terrariums. As I looked them up on the Internet Photo Encyclopedia I saw WAY, WAY too many that I now feel that "gottagetit"-urge about. Man, my budget is really going to get shredded soon - I can see it coming!
Also, I was really impressed with how the names that were provided were so accurate - I found a few that the Great Orchid Gods have reclassified, and I tried to show the new name, with the name that was originally posted referred as being synonymous. Only a few of the names were not to be found anywhere - if they were not listed in Jay's Internet Encyclopedia, I did a general search to try and locate the names.
A few of the genera did not have any specific species listed, but I included them so others can look into the genera as some to consider. When names provided were Hybrids, I tried to list them as best as I could.
Again, I hope I covered everyone's input from the original post.....if I missed some you mentioned, I am sorry, and please add to this list as you can.
Well, this was a fun project really, and I have just gotten the fever really bad now......Best to all.

If you just post new plant names, I can add them to my WordDoc master document and then re-post the master list every few months/weeks - at least that is my understanding of how we can keep it current.
