I posted this in sister board as well...
I'm really new to this,
Would it be possible to an upright reptile tank for a terrarium? It has 2 screen doors on each side which I think might be handy for access. I'm guessing I would have to replace the screen w/Plexiglas. This would be used to grow Orchids.

Don't see why not. All you need is a way to hold humidity and lots of light. You can hand spray for a while until you want to go automated and set up a misting system. I used an old aquarium for a while until I got my big orchidarium.
Mistking
Looking for a misting system? Look no further. Automated misting systems from MistKing are used by multitude of plant enthusiasts and are perfect for Orchids. Systems feature run dry pumps, ZipDrip valve, adjustable black nozzles, per second control! Automatically mist one growing shelf or a greenhouse full of Orchids.
Take a look through the threads in this forum (Terrarium Gardening) for some great ideas. The fokks around here have come up with some fantastic grow tanks!
Hi lilricky,
sure you can. I'm using an old fish tank that i've flipped into an upright position. i have the opening on the side.
The lower part is sealed with plastic and the upper part has a sheet of plexi which is attached with magnets.
