Awesome lizards!! I have always been afraid to keep any types of lizards because I have heard they are prone to lung diseases in high humidity enclosures, and also the UV requirments were too much of a hassle for me.

It all depends on the species...many are very hardy. A genus like Uroplatus comes from extremely humid habitats and are best kept more like dart frogs than lizards in captivity. Crested geckos for instance are an ideal vivarium subject as long as you give them enough space. They are from rainforests as well, and can also go down to temps as low as the 50s.
