Your lantern looks just wonderful. My punctata got a tad lighter too, but no sign of sunburn. So far, just one new leaf that is almost a 1/2 inch. I hope we're not giving them too much light. Time will tell. It would be a challenge to fit shade cloth in there. Good luck!

Thanks lol. I think I just put it up too high in the tank.
I do love this lantern. Now if I could just get everything to grow and bloom like in your cylinder.

I got two new leaves that were slightly smaller. But it also dropped its two old leaves.

Ok. So...
I still didn't buy the nice hygrometer.

I broke out my extremely cheap one that I don't think is very accurate. But I figured would give me ball park estimates.

With the lights off.. around 60%.
Lights on. 25%.

Way too low.
I purchased very small cool mist humidifier.
Working wonders. It's hidden in the bookshelf below my lantern.

With the humidifier I'm at 70% during the day, and 85% or more at night.

Still have to rig it up nicely. I want wider tubing.

It has an adjustable dial, and you use a water bottle as the reservoir.

It says lasts six hours before refill. But I'm on day two and its only halfway down.

Ok. New hosing. Much thicker.
Much better flow.
No clogging.

Looks like misty canyon.
There's a thick layer of mist constantly swirling around now lol.

This lantern has been disassembled and is being redesigned.
The aerangis suddenly dropped all its leaves. A quick check revealed all my orchids had no roots.
It figures that the lantern with nothing but a light thrives. But this one...
Lol

The rootless orchids were transferred to my thriving lantern.
Hope they survive.
In the meantime I'm going to be rethinking my approach

That is odd about the roots. Good to hear at least one pattern is working out.
