ok...did i say i love this board??? i received a beautiful gift of private session from NYBG instructor to do a viv/terrarium! cool huh? now my biggest decisions are: (1) glass or acryllic (2) should i get the enclosure to house all my phal, noid, and jewels? Most of my phals are of standard size.

The reason I'm asking is because I didn't see an answer for (1) in regards to better for humidity but I did see answers for other questions swirling in my head

...feel free to jump in

I prefer plain glass, but that's just my opinion. The reason I prefer glass is that acrylic has the potential to get scratched during cleaning. However, acrylic is a more versatile material in terms of enclosure shapes. Your orchids will appreciate the terrarium, but I've noticed that some plants are finicky in terrariums. For instance a few of my plants, despite the good levels of air circulation, suffer from constant fungus infections while others thrive indefinitely. You could try growing them all in the terrarium and if some of them are unhappy then you could simple place them back where you started.

That way you could have two grow spaces!!! Exciting stuff!! Post pics once it's up so we can admire it!
