Epiweb-EcoWeb??? The same thing?
Ok
since I am falling in love with my miniatures and my small projects seems to work fine, I am thinking about something little bigger. I have really tall vase, empty, and I found this amazing thing called Epiweb from sweden. Their website is amazing and has whole EpiWeb-IIS setup for sale, but not here in the USA. Since this is exactly what I am looking to create and build, I wanted to ask for some help. First, I know that First Rays sells EcoWeb, which I do assume is nearly the same or the same material??? Also, Epiweb sells MOSS MIX, that you just blend with the water and apply to epiweb with the brush, any idea if something like that exists here in the USA? My thoughts are some plastic pipe, wit made holes, than ecoweb from ray around it. All miniatures mounted, tube inside the tall vase, water on the bottom. I would love to have that great looking sprinkling system they do offer on epiweb side but I can live without it also, I am working form the home so I can take car of watering. I will also need one of these small looks like computer fans to put on the top of the vase and some good light, which I can get in aquarium store I guess. Any tips, ideas and help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, EcoWeb and Epiweb are essentially the same material.
I do not carry any moss mix, but if you check out the dendroboard forum (dendro-, in this case, referring to dedrobates [poison dart frogs]), and search for "moss mix", you'll find sources.

I stumbled on the epiwed site myself awhile back and asked them if they sold to US customers. They referred me to a US supplier, the website is folius.com. Folius sells many of their products including the moss mix. You can find quite a bit of info on the web about this stuff if you dig around a bit. I agree that dendroboard is a good forum to find others sharing their own experience with this and other similar products.

Thanks Chris
funny to say, I did order from Folius this week HYGROLON slabs, HYGROLON cloth, Liana and hooks. I did decide at the end to go for HYGROLON and build already my own cylinder tube yesterday. I did test it today with the water, when it is submerge on the bottom in water and than the inside tube serves as water reservoir and overlapping Hygrolon is submerge on the top to the inside of the tube, and it wicked water through out the whole cylinder, so it seems working as it suppose to! I am very happy with the result so far, and today I will place the dry moss on it to start growing, than slowly mount mini orchids and create that tall vase hygrolon tube vivarium. (not sure how but they FORGOT to ship liana, so it is still not attached to the tube and it is on the way)
