I don't think cheap furnace filters have any anti-fungal treatments. Seriously, this is the stuff that is good only for keeping cat hair out of the blower.

You may not have furnaces in Texas, but you must have air conditioners. Same filters are used in both. Our house has both a furnace and an A/C, and they use the same ductwork/fan system that the filter protects.

I was actually thinking that an A/C filter would might be useful, but now that I know its the same as the furnace filter, I'll probably swing by the hardware store tomorrow and grab some. Thanks for the heads up!
