Poll on Exoterra Use
Hello everyone,
There is a rumor going around on one of the amphibian keeper's forums that exoterra tanks might get discontinued.
So this got me thinking about how many people are using the tanks for orchids. So please vote if you do. Thank you!
P.S. I was thinking to contact them and let them know they have a new market, possibly get them thinking about making exo's tailor made for orchids.

I put my vote in
Their tanks are solid! I would hate to see them discontinued!

Tin, maybe you can suggest to them a slight change in design...
there's now a black bar that goes along the front directly under the doors. To set up the tank for orchids, you need to build up the bottom for any plants placed there to show fully.
Other than that, I love mine. It's much easier to work in with doors on the front than rather working in a tank where the only access is from the top.

I am so happy with my Exo-Terra tank! I would recommend them as well constructed, turn-key, easy to maintain tanks for any orchid grower.

Wow....that rumor is odd timing with one of my local pet supply stores clearance-ing out their stock of Exo-Terra tanks! Hmmm.....I better hurry and buy the light fixtures that go with it! I love the design of the tanks, how the doors just swing open....I don't have to worry about sliding them shut to fast and shattering the glass doors! I am just about to set mine up this coming week....but I need some idea's on where to put a fan and if I should have something between the light fixtures and the tank, like my orchidarium has....I think it mainly helps keep the heat down.

Oh no, I better hurry up and get one then! They don't seem to have the size I want anywhere anywhere around here so i guess i'll have to order one online.
Becca, I'm also curious about where to put a fan and about the light thing so I hope someone can answer that. What size did you get? Do you know how you're setting it up yet? Sorry for all the questions! I have said it before but I have no creative abilities at all and need all the ideas I can get!

Ross, that's actually one I haven't checked with yet. I will have to do that tomorrow. But I have checked with just about every Petsmart down to Lansing. They have them just not the size I want which is the 24x18x24. I have my mind set on that one so nothing else will make me happy.

Hey maybe this last minute rush and increased demand will keep them in business? ;-)
