I have one right now that I'm using and like if fairly well.
ZooMed has a similar product but I don't think there are as many reviews out about that one yet. I'm sure that it would work for orchids just the same.

I bought one about two weeks ago but have not set it up yet. The size I own is 18x18x24 tall, I have an idea of mounting one fan 2" up from the floor, above the hydroton, that will suck the air up from the hydroton and blow it up thru the terrariam and one on top to blow the air down to create a circular air flow but I don't know if it will work. I am still looking for other ideas as I want it to have a natural look.

Sarah,
I bought the 18 x 18 x 24....the guy at my local store didn't know the diference between that and the 24 x 18 x 24 I was looking for....so when I showed up to purchase the larger size....well you know what I got....but for the price I couldn't complain. So as far as setting it up, all of the 'chids are arriving tomorrow and will be mounted.....I was planning on purchasing some green coated poultry screen (I think I that is what it is called) and hanging it from the top and then hanging the mounts from that for the time being until I can figure out how I want things and have it then try and make it natural looking..... I know there are lots of post on the OB for setting up terrariums.....but things just haven't clicked in my brain yet.....

Becca, I can't wait to see what your's ends up looking like! Its sure to be great! Mine is a bit different, as I don't have lights and fans; so I was able to leave the top open and just hook the mounted plants over the side of the tank.
I found that sinking little clay pots half-way into the Hydroton on the bottom keeps those plants evenly moist, but not soggy. Perfect conditions for the Pleuros. And the terracotta pots blend in visually with the Hydroton balls.

Hey guys. The rumor started precisely because some stores are having a clearance on the exo's compounded by the idea that Exoterra might not be willing to compete with Zoo-Med (their new exoterra like tanks). Oh well. I'll see if I can pass this little petition/poll over to them.

Ok I got a speedy response from Hagen the company that makes Exoterra's:
Response (Stefani Myers) 10/26/2007 10:58 AM
Dear Cesar Castillo,We thank you for taking the time to contact us. There is ABSOLUTELY NO truth to the rumor that we are discontinuing our Exo-terra Terrariums. Please tell everyone in the orchid community to keep buying and enjoying them. It is very interesting to hear that our reptile habitat is being used for growing orchids. NEAT! Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.Thank you,Stefani MyersCustomer Service Dept.Rolf C. Hagen (USA) Corp.

Hello,I would like to know if it is true that you will be discontinuing your exoterra tanks for reptiles? If so, please be aware that there is a high demand for them not only in the reptile/amphibian hobbies but also in the hugely commercial Orchid Hobby. Please follow the link below to a poll posted on a popular orchid forum discussing the use of exoterra tanks.http://www.orchidboard.com/community...-use.htmlThank you for your time.

Woohoo ! Tindo
You are our Exo-Terra Mythbuster!
Maybe you should have emphasized Sue's comment (which I do so humbly agree with) so they can redesign the tanks to her orchid growers-friendly specifications ...

Well I directed them to this page and hopefully they saw Sue's comment. I didn't want to directly ask for design changes, I was too shy.
On another note, I didn't know that comment came from Sue. I didn't recognize her with her new avatar, ooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!
