Hi everybody,
After reading and rereading the forum I think I am finally ready to place an order.

I recently purchased a exo-terra, the small one 12X18. I am not as talented as many of you so I plan on using the backdrop and growing mounted orchids. Attaching the mounts to the backdrop. I grow most of my orchids in s/h so planned on putting those pellets on the bottom of the tank for extra humidity. I do not have central air so I thought plants that can tolerate NJ heat are best. The structure is easy enough to move wherever I think it will work. I hope in the summer to keep the doors open and a fan close by. Andy's Orchids make shopping so easy. I looked at plants that need low light 500-1500FC and tolerate temps. 55-85/88 degrees. I found Haraella ordorata; Masdevallia floribunda; Bulbophyllum psychoon; Epidendrum nanodes; Gastrochilus calceolaris.
I think I am ready to try something new. My question: with your experience am I on the right track? Will these outgrow the tank very fast? are there other plants that I should consider? can not wait to get started
As always thanks for your input,
Linda
