I have experience with snakes and terrapins but haven't a clue about chameleons - I'll have to do some reading. Thanks for the heads up!

Ah! It looked like the cage was glass, but if it's mesh I can't imagine you would have a problem with air flow. You could maybe just leave a window open in the room to keep the air fresh. Milt spectabilis likes about 80-85% humidity. Do you have a hygrometer? What do you currently get in your setup?

I remember reading a thread on the board about the jungle dawn LED... I think this is it:

Lighting an orchid closet - fluorescent or LED? Otherwise?

I'm not an expert in growing under lights (I've only just started experimenting with it myself) but a couple of very experienced growers seem to be using them with success.

That is a good looking setup and chameleon is very colorful. If you get seasonal temperature changes, a Nefinetia falcata might work for you. I don't recall if they need a day/night temp difference too. There is a whole discussion link on them here. Mine bloomed when I put it with my phals and paphs. It was turning brown when I had it with cattleyas.
