some of my terrariums

Thanks to my son, I finally have some pics. of my terrariums. He came over with his camera and strobe lights, since I don't have the equipment. I have chosen a few of his shots.
The 1st one is of my glass globes housing a masd. nidifica and a masd. andreetta. The 2nd, is a converted reptile tank housing some of my phals, the 3rd is a converted fish tank in which I grow my warm growing pleuros, and the last one is my "lepanthes cage", a converted nano reptile tank. All enclosures have a different temp. range and light levels.

Great job! I love the glass globes, such a great idea!! And your set up is so clean and tidy! What catt are you growing under lights? (third pic, far right) I havent tried any of mine under lights yet, but would love to get some of my window space back! lol

Thanks for the feedback Cav's and Orchids and jrodpad. To answer your questions: the 3rd tank houses a few masdies, restrepias, scaphosepalums and a dracula. I do grow catts. under lights in a different fish tank, and at some later date I will post pics. of that if possible. The plants thrive in this tank.
jrodpad: I bought the globes way before I found suitable masdies. I've only had those since the end of Oct., but they are both growing like weeds, so I'm hopeful

Very nice setups! It always amazes me how people use their creativity and improvisation to do the best for their chids! I too love your glass globes. The plants sure look happy in everything.

Thanks you all for commenting. I bought the globes at our orchid show last year. I had ordered three, but one arrived broken. They are very light and fragile. I think the lady who sold them found them in the States, where she did not say. Hawaiian Botanicals has smaller ones and they do ship to the States. Those seem ideal for lepanthes species.
Andre: the little fans are connected to adapters (transformers), which I bought at a surplus store. I've also used the one from my electric eraser when that one broke. Sometimes you can find them at Goodwill stores. I have the adapter plugged into the power bar. If you want to go that route, make sure that the adapter is the right v. for your fan. Hope this helps.
