Orchid ideas for mini terrariums
Over the summer I have been experimenting with making mini terrariums out of light bulbs. I have used plant material that I find growing around the nursery/garden center that I manage.(sedums, plant seedlings, wild mosses, wild liverworts, even some wild fungi) All of the material have to squeeze through a 3/4" hole in the end of the bulb. So far they have worked pretty well. I have even sold some of them to a few customers. I keep a few in an east window at home and they seem pretty happy there. The humidity seems to stay high in them and I only need to add a little bit of water every week or two.
Of course, what I would like to do now is experiment with growing some micro mini orchids in them. I have grown some compact orchids but I am not very familiar with any micro mini orchids. That's where you, my orchid board friends come in. Please help me with some ideas and give suggestions of anything I could change with them.
I wish I could attach a photo. I keep getting an error. I'll keep trying.
