Are you doing this for yourself or for a show?

I'm doing it for me and hope to display it next September at my society's 50th anniversary show. I figure if I do the built of the enclosure over the winter and start planting in the spring, it should be well established by September, fingers crossed.

Funny you should say that, I dropped and completely shattered my camera last week. Will have to treat myself to a new one for Chanukah. I should be ready for the build to start by then and wil definately keep you posted. You do the same, can't wait to see your finished product.

Ron - Are you building your own display case or are buying a ready made case. There is a wonderful custom build vivarium company in Washington State. I was going to buy a custom case from the but the shipping was as much as the case itself. Here is a link to their site if you want to take a look:

Glen,

I have my own self-built "orchidarium" where I grow my orchids:
Orchids in Bloom: Orchidarium Update

I also built last year a display case for use in shows - pictures near end of post:
Orchids in Bloom: Mount Baker Orchid Society Show

It is the latter I'm working on - changing not the case but the display inside.
