Took the plunge....
I've just bought my pleuros a posh new home... Time to move them out of the old recylced aquarium, and into the new Exo Terra 2610 (dimensions: 60 x 45 x 45 cm 24"x 18"x 18" (WxDxH))
Now, all I have to do is figure out what stuff I'm going to put on the bottom and how to landscape it... I'm so glad I have this forum as a resource - so many great ideas and good information to help me along the way!
I'll post some photos as I go along.

For good drainage I would go for 2 or 3 inches of hydroton/leca/primeagra balls, and on top of that a few inches of orchid media. And then simply mist.

Thanks for the suggestion, Tin - that sounds like a great way to go. I'll see if I can pick some up on my way home from work, so I don't have to wait to start setting this up!

Great minds think alike! I picked up mine today too!
I got the smaller sized one, it's a 12" cube. Was gonna go bigger but hubby was with me
Now to get all the stuff to go in it...
I'll be at Andy's web site if you need me
Uh-oh...seems I've hijacked your thread again!

Those are nice and wide. It amazes me how much the frog/reptile hobby and the orchid/plant hobby are so intertwined. Who would have thought an orchid grower would go for an exo-terra. I love this! Thats why my two hobbies, orchids and frogs go hand in hand and gave birth together to my third newest hobby, photography.

Sue! We are definitely on the same wavelength recently... No worries about the thread, I'm happy to share, and its nice to have all of this in one place.
Trouble is, Sue, even with the bigger one, I don't have enough room for them all.... I have to figure out a way to make better use of vertical space.

OK, so here it is when I brought it home:
I'm no where near done yet... but I had to stop for the night and put everything inside temporarily. I'll pick up again tomorrow. Here's what it looks like :

I'm getting there, Ross! Small steps! Plus, my husband is away on business, and I'm hoping that he doesn't notice too much of a difference when he gets back.
I've successfully been able to tuck away the last dozen or so plants that I've bought... what's a little tank too?

Yeah! Like that's gonna happen Not notice! My wife is not the most astute person around, but she does notice things - like new tanks! Now how am I gonna get this one by her? And I'm planning 3 new tanks!
