Do I Need a Mister for Epiphytic Plants?
Default Do I Need a Mister for Epiphytic Plants?

Hello,
I am starting up a new vivarium, which will include epiphytes. In the past I would cover the screen tops on my vivs with plastic wrap to keep in the moisture. This method kept the humidity very high and also caused a lot of condensation in the tanks. I was able to grow philodendron (what a surprise lol), peperomia, and a few species of terrestrial bromeliads, even getting pups. My only concern is that will covering the top restrict airflow too much for epiphytes, and will I instead have to resort to leaving it open and spraying them?
Thanks in advance,
-Dave
