Water plant fertiliser (for aquariums) lacks a lot of things - mainly nitrates and phosphates. You'll probably need a complete hydroponic fertiliser that includes these along with all the trace elements.

I have the following left over from growing water plants
Potassium Nitrate
Potassium sulphate
Mono potassium phosphate
Trace elements

I will likely try them to see results

Nope. That's EcoWeb.

It's doesn't absorb moisture, but does hold droplets within the web.

The substrate has to allow air to pass through it for the sake of the plants and for the sake of allowing the purification of the air.

I just add a small amount of normal fertilizer to the tank on my little wall.

After being absolutely amazed at the wall, my second thought was: How do you maintain something that big. Because those plants will need more than just water and fertilizer. It will be interesting to see this installation in another couple of years.

Ray has EcoWeb which is the same thing as EpiWeb and apparently made by the same manufacturer.

Yes he sells it in sheets large enough to outfit a tank. I'm looking to get a sheet for my 110; 48" by 30" to set up a moss wall or mini fern wall.

You can get it here:

Cheers.
