terrarium finished....Maybe
I think I have finished my 55 gal terrarium. Hopefully I will be able to post the pics. I still have no way to drain the water that collects. I think I will get a small wet vac and suck it out

Nice decor!!
Ok, here is what you do to get rid of excess water. Choose a corner and dig a whole through your substrate all the way to the bottom. Shore it up with large rocks or whatever else you can find so that the hole does not fill in again. From here you will be able to maintain your water level. The hole will fill up with water (excess water) and you can remove it whenever you feel it necessary, plus it will evaporate faster than from soil.

Lets see. I have rocks in the center of the display and there is just charcoal underneath. Is that ok or should it be in the corner?
I knew someone would ask about the plant list. I was real good at the beginning of my journey in February but haven't been since I just kept buying orchids. I can't even pronounce some but here goes
Hawaiian mini impatiens
2 Euphorbi Leuconeura
Plenrothallu
Leptotes
Paph Jogjne York
Paph Sukhakulii
Java Moss
Masdevallia Nidifica
Ascocar trum pumilun
Haraella retrocalla
Psygmolchis pusilla
Gastrochilus fuscopunctatus
Phal javanica
Phal bellina
Phal violacea v. Malaysia
Eria amica
eria pumila
Maxillaria uncata
Maxillaria huntii
Sedireas japonica
Hope I spelled them all correct.
Patient??? Not really. But I would say I can be one stubborn woman.
I know that it does not compare to most I have lusted over on the board. I had visions of greatness and came up with this. Thank you

Wow, nice list.
It does not have to be in a corner, so long as you have a place where you can see the accumulation of excess water, and that you can reach in and scoop it out with a cup or turkey baster.
