Well... I have really wanted an orchidarium for a long time and i am just that much closer now! I looked on our local trading post website today and saw that somebody had a pretty big corner tank with a stand, gravel, driftwood and some aquaclear for $150filters too so I bought it. I am picking it up on friday with the truck. It wouldn't fit in the car . I plan on stuffing it full of orchids and brom's in a sort of paludarium(terrarium+aquarium=paludarium) type style but with not very much water because I want to get dart frogs eventually. Im so exited! Does any one have any suggestions for chids or knows which dart frogs are good for beginners? Any input will be greatly appreciated. Pic coming soon.

Hey I dont have any PERSONAL experience with dart frogs. Wish I had the money and space to say I did. However, a GREAT site to check out if you are interested in Dart Frog vivariums is

Poison Dart Frogs Poison Arrow Frogs Dart Frogs & Exotic Tropical and Carnivorous Plants with Terrarium & Vivarium Supplies by Black Jungle Terrarium Supply

They deal in pretty much anything you could possibly need to set up the aformentioned vivarium, including the frogs. I have ordered plants from them before, and they have always arrived quickly, well packed and in good condition. Good Luck!

hey not sure if this is dead or not, looks like it's been a while since a post was made, but I wanted to put my 2 cents in anyway. I have dart frogs and have actually been looking for some miniature orchids to put in. Just to start off, dart frogs are an amazing addition to a vivarium or paludarium. Since you said beginner, something I would recommend would be D. leucomelas, or Azureus. They are great beginner frogs and are very active and "social", meaning they don't hide as much as other species. Anyway, hope you have much success in your tank and possible frogs.
Cheers
Evan
