Terrarium Ideas
Hi Gals and Guys,
I am thinking about building a custom terrarium/wardian case for some of my smaller orchids. Do you have a neat case that you want to show off? I would really like to see what people have, and learn from the mistakes of others before I get started. It would be a great help and I am sure we would all have fun oogling over pictures of other cases. Thanks!

I posted some pictures of my terrariums on the second page of this thread, take a look. There are many many other ways of making terrariums though.

If I were going to build another one, it would be much taller than it is wide.

SOS, why is that. Personal preference?
My personal preference is to get a tank whose dimensions would be 4 feet tall, 3.5 feet wide, and 2-2.5 feet deep. Then I could really play!!!

Has anyone ever tried a glass department store cabinet? Generally they already are wired for lamps. I imagine putting a windowsill water fall type thing in there for humidity and you could be ready to rock. Just a thought.

There would have to be a lot of water proofing, but I know it has been done before by others.
