Question homeys: My vivarium gets warm in the summer. Intermediate in the winter (65-75F), but in the summer, it gets warm--maybe 85+ days, 75+ nights. I do not use air-conditioning, because I of my other plants and big lizards (who run around).
The tank has a motif--from left to right, it is neotropical, then African, then Asiatic. The right half half is covered with saran wrap, so I can grow swamp aroids emersed (Anubias, Cryptocoryne
The left side is open so I can grow bromeliads epiphytically (and not just tillandsias). My aroids, bromeliads, begonias, gesneriads do great--but I do not have long-term success with orchids, and I suspect the reason is the inability to cool down the tank at night during the summer. What say you guys?
