The external filter is under the tank. There really is nothing to connecting it. One tube rests at the bottom of the tank (its covered with chunks of eco web - that acts as prefilter). It provides water to the filter. The 2nd tube runs from tilter back to the tank and is incorporated into the background and that powers the waterfall.

Hello Marty,thanks a lot for responding,my aquarium is made of glass so I will try to do it over the tap of aquarium making the holes in the cover and have those tubes extended.How are your orchids doing in there?

I just started a project, 120 gallons for my two turtles, just trying to figure out which orchids to put in it, it will get bright light and high humidity, it will be under a very large skylight, we get lots and lots of sun in colorada which makes very bright light under the skylight.
