The Rainsystem did run well with three nozzles - once a day and 3-4 times per week
When I bought many new orchids, the nozzles didn't water all of them. So I had to still do it manually. If you plant your orchids mainly at the back wall, you can easily water them with the automatic rainsystem. But if the orchids are round the orchidarium, it is more complicated.
In my case - without setting up the hole orchidarium - I try to raise humidity with fogger and water 'chids manually. Now I've got one basic fogger in action. Still I must remove a water container a little bit, so it is under the lower fans.
You have to consider how often do you want to maintain your orchidarium - daily, weekly, monthly?
Ok thanks for the explanation Ludisia.. I do get sick of spraying my 'terrariums' every day and some times I just
don't do it!
Tindomul asked:
What conditions do you keep in your orchidarium?
I’m very pleased with the recent changes to the terrarium technik. Terra is in warm appartment so the temperatures are quite high – summer 23-26 ºC

After chancing the Mister’s place it is working very well. Humidity is higher than earlier – abbroximately 80-99% during day. The mister is under the two fans so mist is spreading very effectively. The container is sinked in bottom materials (sand and bark)
At bottom of the terra there are plenty of space for orchids and the deck of container is good shelf for the minis.

Reason: correcting path of fotos
My terrarium fans were broken - one fan after another. The first ones were Namiba Terra fans and they were running irregularly from the very beginning. Now I’ve got Lucky Reptile Terra Fans. They are more silent and plug between fan and transformer “clicks” tightly. You can put 4 fans in one transformer. I bought first fan set with two extension fans and another set is coming by mail.
The first new fan is now spreading a mist around the terrarium very efficiently. The misting has been running about two week now. I have noticed that - due to the effective misting - I can reduce watering in the terrarium; 3-4 times per week. Before that my primary trouble was a sphagnum moss drying very fast. Now the daily, regular misting keeps the moss moist – very nice and easy. The fan and Mist Maker is connected in a same timer. The timer is on 15 min at a time and off 30 min. A container of Mist Maker has to fill with RO water after 2 days. The watering is made by Matabi misting pump.
The new fans make possible to reform the maintenance of terrarium environment. After I’m arranging orchids and setting new technique I'm going to focus my attention on that. This seems to be a very long project.
