Rethinking mini forest Orchidarium, going Simplier... Female
Lightbulb Rethinking mini forest Orchidarium, going Simplier...

Well everyone who has responded to my tales of whoo(mispelled?). I think i am going to downgrade my plans. I'm guessing i just wanted it all RIGHT NOW! Since i am just learning with the orchidarium, just do what is necessary. So here is my plan.. Using my 20 gal high aquarium, will get dowels to place on top of the aqaurium, then sheet of glass on top. Will get light fixture from Home depot, t8 size, 24". I will get egg crate lite diffuser as well. orchids going in are masc, mimi dend, LC higher up, brassovola to start with. will get a min fan to run 24/7. Light fixture will fit over aquarium. Some orchids will be mounted with sphagmoss. Others i think i will keep in their pots. The whole set up will be placed on my dresser in the bedroom, about 1 foot away from my southwest exposure, mostly west. I have been reading literally hundreds of threads to get more info. I don't want to burn anyone out with my questions. I hope this all sounds good and would love your feedback on my intentioned set up, that i will start next wk. If anyone has added suggestions, please, let me know. Thank you everyone for your feedback thus far. Orchid Lover
