I posted this in the Vanda section and someone segested to post it here. This is what I asked.
"I just bought two Vandas from Lowes. One says it is V. patchara delight and the other is Ascda. arunee s honey moon concolor. These are my first Vandas. Both are approx. 10cm in length. I would like to put these in a vivarium, but I do not know their requirements. The watering/humidity and airflow I understand just not their light requirements and how large they will get. If any of you have placed this type in a Viv/Terr/Orchidarium what have you found that worked or didn't work for you. They will be mounted to tree fern panels."
This will be in a 40 breeder vert setup(36"x18"x18" I think). Lighting system is not set yet so I could adjust to the lighting they would need. Thanks

vandas need almost full sun to thrive. i am not an expert on vivariums or terrariums but vandas might get a little too big. hope this helps! good luck! also take a look at the aos culture sheet for vandas. really good information!

If they need full sun, they could bake in a closed vivarium, if you put a vivarium in full sun. Furthermore, as you probably already know, you never put a vivarium in full sun. Many Vandas get very large. There are some considered miniatures.
