24"×24"×18" Exo-Terra terrarium

Put this together about 2 months ago 10 orchids and 7 non orchid plants, has a blower type fan that goes on 8 hours a day skipping and hour each time, hour after light comes on and then for an hour after lights out. Light is Groplaner 150 watt led by hi-groplanner, it is app based so no timer needed just run from phone has several options, I love this light. Anthuriims are growing on a thick piece of tree fern so kinda epiphytic, other plants are planted in cactus mix with pumice added, Nepenthes is planted in moss mix for carnivorous plants, Tillandsia is in a pot with foam chips and gravel pot sits on top of water pump for waterfall.

Orchids are all sending out roots and new growth very happy babies, I also have the world's smallest boston fern and a tiny Syngonium as well as the red leaf Rex Begonia
Plants are all starting to grow and be happy.

Temps range from 64 to 91 with RH from 45 to 99, I water mounts every other day and feed very weakly every 4th time. In front is a water reservoir with a piece of tree fern that I hope will get moss covered, I use reservoir to keep water level just below top of rust colored rock, I use a Turkey baster to remove excess water.

Looks awesome. I have an ExoTerra 18x18x24(H). Trying to find some sort of lid with light for it. What type of lid do you use? Thanks

I have a greenhouse that has 1/4" double wall plexiglass and used that for my lid. I'm actually making a new better version now one where I can hide fans and sensors. Here is a picture.

Nice! Keep an eye on the Nepenthes for mineral stress, though. They tolerate a lot more minerals than carnivorous plants, but can still run into trouble. If the leaves start crisping along the edges and turning dark brown, it may have a problem. If so, try it in a pot up on the wall so it's away from the mineral runoff. I can't tell if it's in its own compartment at the moment.

Thank you for that information, I'll keep an eye on it, yes it is in it's own pot but buried so it looks planted. I use clean pure water but it does get fertilizer for the orchids dripping on it.

It should be just fine with orchid-level fertilizer, and it might even like that. My concern is more about the minerals from the potting soil leaching up into it.

If you're trying for an ID on the syngonium, you might have "pixie" or "mini pixie" depending on how small it is.

The potting soil used for center plants was cactus mix with about half pumice added, that soil is separated from Nepenthes area by a thick wall of pebbles and sand so it should never come in contact, soil is on top of landscape cloth on top of gravel and sand and soil is about 3" thick. Water in tank gets changed out every other week and remains pretty fresh, once in awhile I put a few drops of physan in to keep any alge from growing. I do add some Cal-Mag to my fertilizer for orchids, so far everything in tank is doing great all orchids have new leads and healthy root growth,all non orchid plants are also happy. Tag on syngonium said Pixie white, I was told it only grows about 3" tall and spreads about 6", time will tell.
