I've been using k-lite with RO, and I do it super weak at like 1/8th tsp per gallon. I've used a few different fertilizers over the last few years, and I'm not sure I've ever been able to tell a difference. Fertilizer seems to be super low in the priority of things to get right.

Lths. Telipogoniflora is one of the few that is still giving me trouble. From what I've heard of it, mine may just be too cold. My tank has been in the 60-70 degree range through the winter.

Dart frogs are what originally got me into this hobby. I had a group of Ranitomeya amazonica. Fascinating animals, I'll probably have to get into that again. Recently I've been itching to try mourning geckos...

I have a seaweed-based fertilizer in one of my cabinets. It's supposed to be good for carnivorous plants, when used properly, and they're really delicate about fertilizers. I'll have to find it so I can look up if it's good for orchids.

Good to know about the temperature. By "trouble", do you mean yours is sorta just existing, or is it actively declining?

Oh, thumbnails! I'm jealous. I had a pair of male D. tinctorius, since they seemed to be a frequently recommended beginner species. Also because my local reptile store had some. But all the thumbnails are absolutely precious, and high on the list of what I'd like to keep when I get the chance.

It just exists. Has had the same four leaves for about 6 months and done absolutely nothing. We will see if it shows any change as things warm up this spring.

Ah, I have some corals in my mini reef tank doing the same thing. It's a start!

If it does start doing something as it warms up, could you let me know? That would be a useful bit of information. I'll try to remember to let you know if mine starts growing, and in what temperature. I really hope I can keep one happy, they're so precious. Nothing like a fully-grown, blooming orchid that could fit on a coin.

Fishkeeper now that it is summer and my temps are up in the 70-80 range the Lths. telipogoniflora is making a very clear recovery. See my latest post here: http://www.orchidboard.com/community...8-post161.html

not sure if you're still searching for a small complete setup, but you could look into the DOOA system paluda 30. (expensive but nice)
