Yes!! Correct...and also Mediocalcar pygmaeum, that I see you have in bloom.

BTW @Roberta, my Mediocalcar has not flower but mine is in the tank, the light requirents I thoght it was medium but you have in the garden ..full light?

And, observing from Lynn garden, also have Bulbophyllum rothschildianum in the same tank with high humidity and low light, should I move it out?

Thank you in advance

I have Mediocalcar on my patio - light is filtered, so bright but not direct. It also gets cold - in fact, it blooms in December/January, nights sometimes get close to freezing. (Days somewhat warmer 58-65 deg F, 19-23 deg C) So maybe it needs that temperature variation.

Bulb rothschildianum maybe needs a little more light. What is the temperature range in the tank? This is one of the cooler-growing Bulbos, again it may need some temperature variation.

I can provide that with a warmth pad during the day since all the orchids inside warm to cold .. thanks for the tip.

That tank is really cold never go over 56° ..since I have a Dracula and Masdies in there as well. Before I had it with more light and less cooler, and since I move it there more bulbs have growth. I'll give it a bit more light in there then. Thanks 😊 again

I think that's too cool for the Bulb. rothschildianum... it can tolerate cold, but needs warmer days at least. If one has to choose cold or warm, I think it would do better warm/intermediate.

Got it! I'll move it to another tank... More light, less frigid

Nevertheless, the weather will start to get better after next week, so it should bloom from now till march o maybe won't bloom until next fall ... But, my mistake though, this is the 2nd winters on a road without flowering, I have treated this Bulbs as the other smaller and clearly, the culture is different.

Most Bulbos do like to be warmer. I treasure the ones that really are cool growers (since those I grow outside... things like B. hirundinis, B. electrinium, B. alkmaarense, B thaiorum, B. pardalotum ) And while they CAN grow cool, they don't require it. So I think that Bulbos in general need to be a little warmer - cool nights for this group are OK but they warm up during the day. I don't think that any really want Masdevallia conditions.
