i was thinking about this thread last night and i think that you will be fine with the flex seal...if you have issues then the next step would be a vapor barrier inside of the flexseal, like a thick visqueen, the only thing about that that is tricky is laying the sides onto the bottom, you want to make like a cuff so the water runs down the side and INTO the bottom, not under it. again, i think the spray rubber will work well for the preservation of the wooden structure
