I wanted to give a shout out to Ray. in general, Ray is always ready to chime in with a very vast and substantial amount of both knowledge and experience.

i appreciate this

Recently Ray mentioned in my terrarium thread that having less water in the LECA trays would increase the evaporative surface and be more effective to increase the humidity.

I was thinking about this advice (after i followed it) and i realized it could maybe even be take further. I took some long lava rock pieces and stood them upright in the trays and, as suspected, they quickly wicked up water...within 2 hours the RH went up 10%....i have been monitoring as compared to the patio where the wardian case sits and is has been 10-15% higher all day

well done, Sir, Thanks!
