I honestly was not expecting it to mold. I have pretty good air movement and the other SH vessels in the area don’t mold or grow algae.
I suppose I shall find out lol

Great setup!!! Thank goodness the paint was left as is. I love it.

The case isn't airtight... if the doors are left open, the air circulation may be adequate. That's where just keeping an eye on the temperature inside is a good idea - if there is no major heat buildup relative to ambient conditions, it's a safe assumption that air exchange is adequate too. I think that just observing what is going on is the starting point... find out if there is a problem before trying to fix it.
This is different than the classic Wardian case, which is a closed and controlled system.

the paint was never an option.....i am a "rust colored gold" kind of guy
I was thinking that i wont need it but the numbers will tell.. it is on a table about 6' below a ceiling fan that is always on. there are two small (heart shaped) vents on the sides of the case and i was thinking i would place the fan OUTSIDE but pointed in the vent....if it is needed
