Phalaenopsis pulcherrima
The lovely species blooms in late summer and early autumn. The bloom is not fragrant.

This used to be Doritis pulcherrima, but now is Phalaenopsis pulcherrima? Once it starts to bloom does it bloom continuously for several months?
We have Phal. (Doritis) pulcherrima X Doritis Pretty Nice, it will continuously bloom for 6+ months and some have bloomed the entire year. Ours ussally starts to bloom in late spring or early summer. Very tuff plant, can take much more light than other phalaenopsis. Does have spotted leaves which adds to it’s appeal.

Very nice! :-) I don't think I've ever seen photos of semi peloria in this species. Seeing the second photo you posted, it seems only a few blooms are affected?
Yes, Doritis is now Phalaenopsis. I don't like that much, but it still makes far more sense than Sedirea which is now also Phalaenopsis!

This is a species that can bloom year-round. My largest division has four blooming stems from last season (it had five but one just started to dry up) and four new spikes just starting to develope buds for this season. Small flowers but a great show.
