Phal. lobbii

All of the Phal. lobbii I see for sale are mounted and it sounds like they do better mounted than potted. My issue is that I only have a windowsill to keep one. The humidity in my apartment goes from 50-60% in the Summer and in the Winter I run a humidifier but haven't had a hygrometer long enough to know where exactly it falls.

I can't really rig up a special mini greenhouse or anything for the orchid so my questions are, is this an orchid I should skip or can I transfer it from a mount, to a pot to help keep it more moist?

I would try semi-hydroponics method on this one if you can't keep it mounted.
