In time - and not all that much time - it will become a plant with a mass of keikies, and I urge you not to remove them, but to repot the thing into a larger, shallow pot. "Mom" and "babies" will all bloom together and put on a tremendous show.
Mine is in a 10" octagonal plastic basket that I set into the bottom of a 5-gallon bucket to trap humidity, and I must have had 20 keikies on it. I gave a few a way, and the plant died back to the mother plant during the abuse of moving, but it is recovering nicely now.
