I don't know how to tell the difference between Phalaenopsis bellina and violacea. If anyone knows of a sure way to determine one from the other, I would appreciate hearing your opinion.
Whatever these two are, they have large, thick, very shiny and round (almost circular) leaves that are almost like those of a succulent. The flowers also have impressive substance, as well as being fragrant during the day.
I can't vouch for this being accurate, but I read that bellina has a sweet fragrance, whilst violacea is meant to have a spicy fragrance. I only have a bellina and to be honest I think it smells like lemon polish.
