What conditions did you give it to bloom? Mine aborted its flower spike midway. =(

Soooooo pretty!
I have trouble w/wilsonii too. I usually lose one spike each year but it has always made a 2nd that bloomed for me...but not this year. This spring it's tried 3 times and all 3 spikes get to a certain stage of development and the buds blast. I don't have this much trouble w/any other phal and I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. So, yea, I would also love to know the details of how you're growing it.

Thanks! It's my first time getting it to bloom, so I don't know what tricks I used. I grow under 70-80% humidity, and pretty bright light. Nights in the winter dropped to about 16C, with day time highs of 22. It got dry for about 2-3 days at a time, but never longer. In the spring, daytimes would go up to 25, probably. It did produce 2 spikes, but only one elongated and bloomed.

As i suspected, it must be a water/humidity issue. I was watering every couple of days but my humidity is much lower than yours. With the second spike I bumped up the watering...to no avail. Third spike and I bumped it even more but it's been so dry that it likely still wasn't enough. I should prob try to remove it from the mount and pot it up. Thanks for the info!

Very cool blooms on this one. I will not be trying it any time soon. I have enough problems with humidity.
