Hi,
beautiful vibration of color in the center.
Even the shape of the flower, being so slender, is attractive .
Congratulations
Nicola

Yes, gorgeous!

How did you get yours to rebloom? I usually bring my phals into my bedroom when it's time to set a spike because I open the window at night and they get the cooler temps and bingo! spikes appear. I'm hesitant to do this with bellina or violacea since they like their warmth.

How do you do it?

I grow them under lights at the moment in my living room, its rather warm in there most of the time but gets even warmer when the lights are on.

the lights come on from at 11 at night till 11 at morning, its usually about 80f plus under the lights when theyre on and 70f when theyre not.

will probably get warmer when its summer but will move them to my new greenhouse for a few months.

afaik they need more warmth and a bit more moisture to flower, think it also helps that under the lights I get continuous growth.

some of the orchids on the same shelves don't like it that warm so I'm moving them to my bedroom. think I'm just lucky that the bellinas and violaceas like my conditions.

its flowered again, wasn't attacked much by spider mites unlike some of my other orchids. will try to get a pic a bit more in focus later.
