Phalaenopsis Bellina? - Orchid Board

Hi everyone,

So I ordered this plant online and it was tagged as Phalaenopsis Bellina. However, when I received the plant, it didn't really look like other Bellinas I see over the Internet: the leaves seem smaller, narrower and greener than Phal. Bellina and the plant itself is pretty small. Please help me ID this orchid correctly (Photo attached).

It's very hard to ID a plant out of flower, but I would think there is no reason to doubt the tag.

My bellina had small narrow pale yellow leaves when it was bought. Now growing in my conditions each new leaf is massive, broad and much greener than they were when it was bought.

Growing conditions, and age of the plant can make a lot of difference. To my eye yours could easily be bellina and I wouldn't doubt the tag.

Without flowers though I don't think anyone will be able to advise what it might be if it's not a bellina.

it could easily be a bellina, hopefully it will flower soon and you'll know for sure

Hi,
I just got my bellina purchased from Orchid Tree.
It was mounted exactly like yours, and it is looking the same.
I decided to remove the plant from the mount.
It had various dried roots, and in a few days I'll put it in a pot.
My plant has a spike, unfortunately damaged, but the shape corresponds to the features of the species.
I add a few pictures so you can compare.

That looks like a healthy plant! I've decided to transfer mine to s/h. Its roots dry out too quickly in my environment. Where in India do you stay?

I'm in New Delhi,
I agree with you, too hot and dry during the summer even here.
My only doubt to the use of a pot is that I want to promote the natural growth of the leaves.
In the wild the leaves hang down assuming a fan shape, which I find very attractive.
