Phalaenopsis gigantea

These are flowering twice a year because they are larger plants.

they are beautiful flowers wish I had room for such a large plant.

great growing I know they can be tricky to grow since the leaves are close together and its prone to rot and I hear It doesn't like repotting or travel.

still I might be tempted to buy one if I can find the room

Just stunning. I passed on a seedling this summer, thinking I couldn't give it enough humidity, but now I'm wondering.... What's your relative humidity and temperature range through the year?

That is just a stunning display!! I've seen one as large at a show, and the fragrance is just heavenly. I see you have another one ready to bloom right next to it.

I have a young gigantea, the largest leaf is about 7-8inches long. I've had it a year and it seems to be doing well, though it's getting really root bound and I'm hesitant to repot it... (Mounting just doesn't work in my environment) I'm amazed by how much sunlight it can take. I knew they like high light, but it's growing alongside my high light requirement plants.
