Default phal. bastianii

Hello to all, first-time poster, long-time lurker. I have a bastianii approximately 6 yr. old, very healthy with 2 mature basal keikis. Last year I removed its first keiki from a spike, and it is doing well. It currently has 4 spikes with 4 keikis. Keikis are common for this species, but which is the preferred treatment--remove, or leave them on?

It depends on the person. I'm partial to the idea of leaving them on because specimen plants just make for such great shows years down the road. Some people just don't have the space, so they divide and trade the keikis for more variety. So in the end it's really... what do you want from the plant?

Thanks for your reply. Just wanted to make sure it would not be detrimental to health of the mother plant to carry so many keikis.
