the 2nd flower is nicer plus it has a really strong scent, reminds me of hyacinth. my other violacea red is starting to flower spike and so is the blue one :) plus 2 bellinas have started spikes :)

this is my other violacea red, doing nicely. pity some of my bellinas and other phals have been ravaged by spider mites.

It resembles (the shape) the Liodoro but with different tones. Are the leaves also light green?

dangerouseddy 10-11-2016 12:50 PM

the leaves are a similar colour. I think Liodoro can be made with bellina or violacea.

Yes, Liodoro is a cross between Phalaenopsis Deventeriana (amabilis x amboinensis) x Phalaenopsis violacea.

Fabulous!! Congrats on this one. I owned one a long time ago and got to smell it, and it's still with me. That scent gets ingrained into the brain.
