Default Phal speciosa

Sooooooo long story short, I got this mature and already acclimated to my area for fairly reasonable, less than what's on ebay at least. It's done fine given my terrible track record with NOID phals in the past. Maybe it's my desperation not to kill this one? Maybe not. Anyways, it opened today so I took a couple pictures. It came without a tag, but OB says it's a speciosa so I'll take their word on it. This will be one of 7 buds opening this time!

Thanks guys for the replies! This one is becoming one of my favorites to care for, though, to be truthful, I've been saying that about the ones that put out blooms recently. It's happy and I can't complain. Next up on the phal list is a bellina, but they are expensive. All in good time. Thanks for looking anyways!

Big Leaf - They are usually my go to for phals. Peter has wonderful plants. He had a couple of bellinas up for $25 Right now he has one with good lineage for $35. He updates sparingly on phal species with a few plants here and there. If you check every now and then you will find some difficult to find phal species. A few weeks ago he had a schilleriana var. nobilis. A month or so ago i picked up a ambionisis flava from him. He just put another one up for sale.

Orchidweb - Has bellina alba. There typically is a premium on plants offered but Jason's stock is good.

I'll check it out, but my budget probably won't allow for it after I buy a couple species on ebay in a couple of days. Maybe after my trip! Still need to find a way to keep my plants from dying for 10 days!

On topic question: Is care for a bellina similar to that of a speciosa? I've read a bunch of conflicting information!

I can't speak for speciosa. However, bellina grew well for me in S/H in an eastern window supplemented by lights to extend the day.

Beautiful! Is it fragrant? Mine recently bloomed but it smells weird like plastic to me.
