Phal fasciata Male
Default Phal fasciata

This is the first flowering of a keiki I divided in 2013. The mother plant currently has two additional keiki and is also growing two new spikes.

With age, the flowers actually take on a more greenish hue. At first I wondered if this was a true fasciata because there seemed to be more trichomes than expected on the lip. However, the flowers do smell like green apples just like the books say.
