Default Equestris!

My Phanaenopsis Equestris is blooming it has a second spike that hasn't opened yet, so this should be in bloom for quite a while.

Are you sure it is Phal. equestris?

It looks very very different from my Phal. equestris and pretty much like an hybrid. I am not sure of the size of your flowers but somehow they look much bigger than equestris and both petal shape and color do not match with what I know as equestris.

But it IS really beautiful! This is a point I will not argue.

It's very pretty, pink and yellow/orange is such a nice color combo!! Looks like a small plant?

I'm very certain though that this particular Phal is not Phal. equestris, it looks nothing like the species (I have 4 of them at home). Rather, what you have is a complex hybrid that looks like it may have some equestris somewhere in its parentage.

Oh dear. Well, that's definitely not equestris, but it's not OP's mistake as apparently there was a supplier error to some commercial greenhouses. This person here appears to have the same orchid that was sold to them as equestris. https://orchideliriumblog.wordpress....hal-equestris/

Yeah you guys are totally correct!
I purchase this guy from Larry's Orchids a little over a year ago, and after doing a bit of research I discovered that his supplier mislabeled a bunch of the plants.
Draft ^^^ I believe that we read the same article

Yes it is a very small plant! The flowers are probably no bigger than a half dollar.

Really pretty even if it's not equestris. Has any of the research turned up what it actually is, or is it an unknown?

Cool. Even if it isn't equestris.
