Another Phal tetraspis Male
Default Another Phal tetraspis

Hi all, just wanted to share my Phal tetraspis. Bought this plant last November, just opened this week. No fragrance that I can detect, but I have not been home during the day anyway. I have a Phal tetraspis C1 that's also got a spike, so I'll post pictures of that when it flowers. It will also be interesting to compare them side by side in person.

For those who are still wondering if C1 is speciosa, tetraspis, or something else altogether, a recent publication has synonymized these taxa and so they are all now Phal tetraspis. This paper offers pretty convincing evidence:
