if ever there is a species that illustrates the vagaries of orchids, its schilleriana. I have one in bloom and the other looks as if it needs life support. They have never looked 'good' in the classic orchid sense ie firm leaves, extensive roots.
The blooms are a pretty pink, but unfortunately this cultivar is not scented.

they are pretty rough looking anyway as the leafs are so thin they dont have much substance to keep them up in a very elegant fashion. I think they are just sloppy growing plants over all. I have seen some that were way out there gorgeous but they were much older established plants. They bloom like crazy when they bloom though ..

The fragrance is very nice and gentle like baby powder. Mine got so ugly and it put out a nice keiki sooo the mother plant was trashed.

here was the flowers in 2013. Keiki is doing fine.

mine is Phal. schilleriana 'Pink Butterfly' grown in sphagnum moss very moist and warm. The cold really messes with the leaf growths.

Thats so weird that these plants are such good at surviving and flowering even when they lack good health. Congrats though.

That is probably the darkest colored one I've seen so far!
Color took over the fragrance gene maybe, hahaha
