This phal is mounted on a piece of wood. It is the driest culture amongst my orchids, but when established, also one of the most robust and less easy to kill. It developed commando roots which can take much abuse, and surprisingly, can take much direct sunlight too. Don't try this with a newly established phal.
This phal survived sunburn, leaves damaged by sliding windows, roots yanked off the wall, no watering for 1 week before, lol.
When acquiring phals, I will usually try to find established phals on such culture (Not fernbark with moss), because they are very strong and robust.
This phal comes with 3 flowering spikes, and produces large flowers too. The scent is very nice and strong.
