The Phal. gigantea is hanging on a line below my vanda collection. The vandas are misted twice daily for an hour each time. So, some of the mist reaches the Phal. I check for moistness of the moss regularly.
Right now, after the change of mount, new moss and surgery, the plant looks OK but it is really too soon to say things are back to normal (whatever that might be).
I'll get a picture tomorrow. Thanks for the concern and help.

It does not look very good. It has just one leaf (large) left and what looked like a root emerging seems to be drying up. I'm really not optimistic about its surviving the winter.

Have you ever encouraged a keiki before? Now might be a good time to start, I have heard from a friend who has a gigantea that the keiki of these tend to grow faster than those that start as a seed or a clone, perhaps due to its ability to use its mother plants roots?
