How long did it take for the spike to grow? Mine has been a tiny little triangle going on 5 weeks now... Just curious.

killer, Thank you for the compliment on the bloom!
bellinas are slow growers. I truely don't remember how long it took the spike to form and bloom but I think it may have been around 3 months. This was in the spring/summer, which is when bellinas normally bloom.
If your spike has not grown any in the 5 weeks, I would think at this point it may have stalled. As long as it remains green you may see it resume growth when the days start to get longer and it warms up.
Keep your plant warm (they don't like cold roots) and never allow the potting mix to dry out. You want to keep it damp/ moist, not wet. If you grow in sphag check the media in the middle of the pot before you water, if its still pretty damp wait another day or to before you do.
with the spike and be sure to post pic when it blooms!
